Choose from our beautiful standard finishes or make your shutters truly personal with a custom colour. Selected shutter ranges can be colour-matched to Dulux, Farrow & Ball and RAL shades, so you can coordinate your shutters with your interior scheme. Bring your chosen colour reference to our Chelmsford showroom and we’ll help you explore the options.

Traditional charm or a cleaner finish
Exposed tilt rods
For a timeless, traditional look, choose a visible tilt rod positioned centrally or to the side of the shutter panel. The rod lets you adjust the louvres together while adding a classic finishing detail.
Hidden Easy Tilt
For a clean, contemporary finish, the Easy Tilt option removes the need for a visible rod. Simply move one louvre with your fingertip and the others follow. Availability varies by shutter range.
Hinges, catches & hardware
Choose from ten visible hinge colours to complement your shutter finish, with concealed hinges available on selected ranges for a beautifully streamlined look. For a more traditional touch, optional ring pulls, door knobs and security bolts can complete the design.
A little more darkness, when you need it
Shutter & Shade combines beautifully crafted shutters with a discreet honeycomb blind fitted behind, helping reduce light bleed around the framing and louvres. It is a lovely option for bedrooms where additional light control and privacy are important. As The Shutter Store is part of The Blinds Store, we can also offer a wide choice of blinds fitted behind your shutters, including motorised options, depending on the space and window configuration.

The right louvre size
The width of your shutter blades can make a real difference to the finished look. Smaller louvres offer a more detailed appearance, while wider louvres work particularly well on larger windows and in spacious rooms. Available sizes include 47 mm, 63 mm, 76 mm, 89 mm and 114 mm, depending on the shutter range.
